Ever since I was a little girl I remember asking my family for dolls as gifts with gorgeous long hair so I could braid it. Around that time I was also gifted a vanity with kid friendly makeup, I loved it so much I actually got into my moms favorite eyeshadow pallet and covered myself in it! The view wasn’t too pretty but I sure felt like the prettiest girl ever.

I knew from a young age the beauty industry was my happy place and I was determined to make my dreams come true. As soon as I graduated high school I told my dad I was going to go to Cosmetology school and I was going get my license.

Many of my family members didn’t support me. They said I’m young and I should go to college first then decide what i wanted to do. I would get bored of it, and can’t make enough money in this industry. I told them it wasn’t about the money, I love this profession because it makes me happy to help others look and feel beautiful.

Cosmetology school was tough but I’m glad I never gave up. Whether it’s something small like curling hair, or all the way up to bigger transformations like a balayage, I’m always so happy to help my clients make their hair dreams come true. The big smile on their face when we are finished, is the best reward I could ask for!
